Mission of the Gilead Ministries:

  • Individual counseling 
  • Church planting -Pioneering work
  • Children ministry. 
  • Development of youth. 
  • Development of women. 
  • Concern for spiritual welfare of souls and making them ready for the rapture. 
  • Social activities. 
  • Establishing old age homes and orphanges. 
  • Establishing bible colleges 
  • Literary works such as translation,publishing journals,tracts,books etc,for the glory of the Lord.

 

Doctrine of the Ministry:

 

      Believe in the triune God persons who accept Lord Jesus Christ as their personal saviour,whole heartedly are baptized in water in the name of the Father,the Son and the Holy Spirit and they become the members of the church,(the body of christ), exhort them to live for the Lord and advise them "save themselves from this corrupt generation (Acts 2:40) and live a holy life and also encourage them to wait on the Lord for all their needs both spiritual and material and prepare them to meet the Lord in rupture. (I Thessa 4:16-18).

Social Activities:

 

      Helping the poor and the needy in the villages,especially among the tribal's with food,clothing,shelter,educational support etc.

 

Area of Operation:

 

  • The area of operation of the Trust shall be within the territory of India and in abroad nations.
  • Our service is mainly in tribal areas,villages and among poor people.

 

 

History of the Gilead Ministries:

 

      Gilead Ministries established in 1975 by Pr.Johnsen.Initially the Gilead Ministries was started at  Pathukani,which is in TamilNadu ie; in South India,in west of Kanyakumari District. Pathukani is a tribal area,where he started the Gilead Ministries with two people. And also Pr.Johnsen planted a small church with dry grass as roof in  Pathukani. He also faced many problems during the time of planting the church. But the grace of Lord Jesus Christ not left him alone. Between lot of struggles and temptations God lifted  Gilead Ministries with many churches,Missionary Fields,Bible School,..etc. Pr.Johnsen entered into the glory of God in 1988. After that,his son Pr.J.Godwin Chandra sen leading the Gilead Ministries  by God's Grace.
